Currently reading Lysa Terkeurst’s book Uninvited which a Christian leader highly recommended.
I’m not quite half way through the book but it already has me reflecting on many aspects of life. A few things I do every morning aside from spending time with God is read positive affirmations. All combined is grounding for the day.
And then there is timehop which usually reminds me of the of other kind of affirmations I would otherwise adopt and share…OH EM GEE. You know, the especially fun ones are the dramatic announcements about how we just can’t handle it anymore. And while a pity party or two is more than normal, habitual can benefit from the Lx2 formula. That is what I would say to my old self. Not that I was always necessarily habitual but I could certainly scrap at times with the best of them.
As I’m reading this book I can’t help but think of Lysa’s personal life and the turmoil she publicly disclosed recently. But here is the thing, I’m one hundred percent positive we would not hear a dramatic announcement that she just can’t handle life anymore. Why? Because she lives loved. As in Lysa’s case, it sometimes means hard decisions.
Ironically we are studying the book of Ruth in the app Lysa’s ministry drives. Live loved, Lx2, a modern day Ruth indeed.
I’m blessed to know and learn from God filled leaders who pave the way to living loved.
- Release negative emotions which do not serve me.
- Free myself of emotions that are not mine to carry.
- My boundaries are strongly rooted in God’s word.
- My authentic self with those around me is without fear.
- Positive and uplifting energy is welcomed in my space.
- The right to choose how I want to feel in all situations.
Reading the book has me thinking of this song which is awesome timing with drops in the ocean megakids week. This is how we do!
