Precisely why we don’t dare touch the DVR until we can all spend the rest of the day with puffy eyes and the kleenex box like the beautiful hot mess we are! Peeps, how do I not write about This Is Us twice in one week? Not gonna happen, gotta come back to this…
Skip right on along if you haven’t watched it yet loves. Guys, I seriously can’t deal, I’m so sad. We knew it was coming but still, why couldn’t there have been a miracle?
Randall, holding William’s face just like Papa Pearson held his…that for sure did me in. William, you want us to look up not down…as if I wasn’t ALREADY far gone. And finally, the best of my life was the person at the very beginning and the very end. That’s it William I can’t take anymore, we are all hyperventilating.
And then…William you went forever home.
The lesson these two characters teach us about love and forgiveness is nothing less than incredible. They didn’t have enough time together, it’s just so unfair. No miracle came and we are all just devastated, all of us crazy die-hard fans of the show.
But in that short time, oh how they showed us love. The kind of love that crosses all boundaries. Jesus kind of love.
And then there is the song…OH-EM-GEE! A song that says you may not be here now, but I’ll find you somewhere down the road. Until we meet again.
For those who walk in faith, death is not despair because it all comes back around.
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1 Thessalonians 4:14
Never alone. We can always come back to this. Look up not down.
Loved By Grace,
